Winley K. has been working for RtW in a consulting role since the early summer of 2020. Starting in June 2021, Winley began consulting with Kat in a more regular capacity.

Winley’s role at RtW has consisted of consulting directly to the Executive Director on matters that arise both at RtW and in the Santa Cruz and Bay Area professional communities that concern equity and social justice; as someone who is not a member of these specific local communities and who deeply understands equity and social justice matters as they impact BIPOC and LGBTQ-GNC+ colleagues and clients, Winley is well-positioned to provide expert consultation. Additionally, Winley provides consultation to the Executive Director concerning business strategy, goals, and implementation.

Winley is a Black genderqueer person who does not use pronouns. Winley has been a clinician for the past 10 years and has a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology.

Winley specializes in working with Black, Indigenous and people of color (BIPOC), LGBTQ-GNC+ individuals, and folks navigating trauma related to ethno-racial identity, class, sexuality, gender identity and expression, and sexual orientation. 

This work comes in the form of direct therapeutic support, training and workshops, and consulting with individuals, organizations, and institutions.
